Introduction:

This will be a hardcore version of the original 20 questions game. ANYTHING GOES. As long as it's an object, you can use it. That means the host is going to be thinking of something super specific and the other posters must get it down to the perfect answer!

So here's a copy/paste of the original rules with the modified rules in bold:

OP names a very broad category and thinks of an extremely specific item within that category. Other posters have a total of 20 50 questions they can ask regarding said item before they must guess what the item is. A guess towards what the item is counts as a question. (i.e. - Is it a cat?)

Some house rules:

  • Yes or no, binary questions are preferred required.
  • First person to correctly guess the answer gets to lead next category, unless they fail to start a new category within 24 hours of the correct answer verification being given. Then it's defaulted to the first person to suggest a new category.
  • Similarly, if OP fails to give an answer for 24 hours, a new category is started.
  • Try to clarify if an answer is unclear or misleading in binary form. DON'T TELL THEM SHIT!
  • Maintain a running list of answers/hints.
  • Don't Absolutely do make your item too specific or location-centric. It should be a fairly general knowledge answer. As long as you think 100k people knows of its existence, DO IT.
  • Choose items you have good knowledge of and look up answers to questions if you need to.
  • If you can't answer a question the way it's currently worded, say so and don't count it as a question ("Invalid Question" or "Unknown" or "Irrelevant"). But don't clarify.

Example Category: Games Things
Example Answer: Unreal Tournament's CTF Map Lava Giant

Example Ambiguous Question: Was it released Did it exist before 2000?
Example Clarifying Answer: Originally, yes.

As you can see, saying just Yes might throw off somebody who is thinking of later versions of Unreal Tournament released after 1999. So that extra word can help with not misleading your answer.

OH YEAH THIS SHOULD BE FUN. LET'S PLAY!
