Out-of-game comment:
Si should have been at 4.
He got hit for 6, then Brand gave Si 1 Temporary HP, then he lost another 3, so that was effectively only 8 damage thus far, since Temp HP is lost first...

Also, just as an awkward note, I'm running several games right now, and in each one, the monsters have been having unusually good luck in rolling. :? I'm starting to get a little creeped out. One nearly killed a player in the opening round of combat, and he only managed to escape because their next attacks rolled a 3 and 4.
Another game, a grunt took out a PC at the start of a fight with a lucky crit that did like, 3d6 dex damage and double weapon damage for a severed spine.
And this combat, the drone rolled a 17 and then an 18 before attack modifiers. And it's only a CR 1/2 monster :o

I just tend to get a little creeped out when battles kinda goes my way a little too much, y'know?

M'kay, so accepting Gardan's last action, the shot goes way wide.

The Robot swings again, with another metallic screech as parts grind against each other. Si is ready for it this time and easily sidesteps the attack.

Brand's swing goes wide and does little more than put a large dent in the floor.
The Robot's hinges screech as it slowly moves to raise itself up again, each movement like a groan of agony. The Robot continues to repeat something in Androfan as it slowly begins to rebalance itself.
