Leader: Arala Insifaal
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Headquarters: Kyonin
Goals: Fame, faith
Scope: Worldwide
Structure: Chaotic
Members: Female elves, half-elves

The Wasp Queens are an elite society of female elves and half-elves thieves. They follow the teachings of Calistria related to trickery and revenge.

Goal: Fame and Faith

The Wasp Queens are for hire for any number of activities especially the ones that are considered impossible. The Wasp Queens have broken into the most secure vaults of Abadar’s temples, have lifted huge amounts of coin from the banks of Absalom, and are even said to have stolen the scepter of Queen Abrogail of Cheliax herself and sold it back to her. They are vain and tend to brag about their accomplishments, exaggerating their conquests.

Alignment: CN

Like Calistria herself, the Wasp Queens are concerned with their own goals and to live life with the freedom of their own terms, while stealing or performing acts of trickery and revenge. The group is torn by rivalries, grudges and subtle plots against one another, but they readily unify against outside threats.

Leader

The current leader of the Wasp Queens is Arala Insifaal, a beautiful half-elf who can be seen to easily hold a grudge. Hopeful members must apply through her, and to fail the difficult admissions tests is usually fatal.

Headquarters

They travel all across Avistan, in groups or alone, eventually returning to their base in Kyonin with their ill-gotten loot, but it is said they spend most of it before they ever reach home.

Known Members

Besides for Arala, known members of the Wasp Queens are:

Gaining Prestige

Prestige and its awards are the primary reason why the Wasp Queen’s exist, and their constant petty infighting and one-upman ship revolves around this aspect. The more a Wasp Queen performs daring thefts, public tricks or other daring tasks, the more her influence increases within the organization as a whole.

Resources

Once Arala accepts an applicant into the Wasp Queens, they are given an amber wasp figurine as a symbol of membership and their status within the organization. The wasp that can be summoned is moderately intelligent and serves the Wasp Queen without question. The tokens are crafted in such a fashion so they can be ridden once the wasp grows to its large size, usually for fast getaways. The wasp can also grow more powerful over time, provided the Wasp Queen that owns the figurine has gained enough prestige to warrant that honor. Since many Wasp Queens operate independently, their wasps are the primary companions. As also befitting their organization’s name and Calistria’s favored creature, those who gain prestige within the group also gain power over such insects.
